This Privacy Policy explains how Outgrown Collective ("Outgrown", "we", "us"), a sole proprietorship based in Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh, India, collects, uses, and protects your information when you shop with us. By using our website, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account & contact details — your name, email address, and phone number, used to create your account and send order updates.
  • Order & shipping details — delivery address, PIN code, order history, and items purchased.
  • Payment information — online payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
  • Reviews & media — product reviews and any photos you upload (with reviews or returns).
  • Sign-in data — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and basic profile from Google. Email/phone logins use a one-time password (OTP) for verification.
  • Approximate region — we derive a coarse region (state) from your IP address for analytics and then discard the IP address. We do not store your precise location.
  • Cart & wishlist — saved in your browser's local storage and, when you're signed in, on your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders (including sharing shipping details with our courier).
  • To verify your identity via OTP and keep your account secure.
  • To send transactional messages — order confirmations, OTPs, shipping and delivery updates — by email and WhatsApp.
  • To send promotional offers and updates by email and WhatsApp where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe any time (see Section 6).
  • To display verified-purchase reviews.
  • To prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and keep the store secure.
  • To understand shopping trends using coarse, non-identifying regional data.

3. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what's necessary with trusted providers who help us run the store:

  • Razorpay — payment processing.
  • Amazon Shipping — order delivery and tracking.
  • Google — sign-in (Google OAuth) and email delivery (Gmail / Google Workspace).
  • Meta / WhatsApp — order and login notifications via the WhatsApp Business Platform.
  • Cloudinary — hosting of product and review images.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and our users.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep your cart, wishlist, and login session working. We record a single lightweight "visit" per session to understand traffic by region (with the IP discarded, as above). We also note how you arrived at our site (for example, from Instagram or a WhatsApp link) and save it with your order, so we know which channels work. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers such as ad pixels.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account (see Section 7); some records may be retained where the law requires.

6. Marketing & Your Choices

Transactional messages (orders, OTPs, delivery) are part of the service and are always sent. Promotional email and WhatsApp are sent only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time — use the unsubscribe link in emails, reply STOP to WhatsApp messages, or email us at ig.outgrown@gmail.com.

7. Your Rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent for marketing, by emailing ig.outgrown@gmail.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

8. Security

We protect your data with measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, OTP-based login, and access controls. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.

9. Children

Our store is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the site means you accept the changes.
